Funding
DVA, NDIS, Medicare, workers compensation, Home Care Packages and private health. Most clients pay little or nothing out of pocket.
Funding options we work with
Most of our clients pay little or nothing out of pocket. Tell us which of these applies to you and we will handle the referrals, the reporting and the invoicing.
Gold and White Card holders, no gap
Ask your GP for a D904 referral. Once it is issued we bill the Department of Veterans Affairs directly, so there is nothing for you to pay. A standard referral covers twelve sessions within twelve months, and we report back to your doctor at the end of the cycle.
Plan managed and self managed
Exercise physiology sits under Improved Daily Living and Improved Health and Wellbeing. We provide service agreements, progress reports and invoices priced in line with the NDIS support catalogue. We are not currently able to invoice the agency directly for agency managed plans.
Chronic Disease Management plans
If you live with a chronic condition your GP can prepare a Chronic Disease Management plan giving you up to five subsidised allied health visits each calendar year. Medicare pays a rebate for each visit and a small gap applies.
icare NSW, CTP and self insurers
With an approved claim number and a referral we invoice your insurer directly and work to the treatment guidelines, including functional reporting and a staged return to work plan built with your employer.
Claim on the spot
Most funds cover exercise physiology under extras cover. We process HICAPS claims at the time of your appointment, so you only pay the gap. Check your annual limit with your fund before you start.
Levels one through four
Your package can fund allied health at home. We work with your provider and case manager, invoice them directly and report on progress so your goals stay documented in your care plan.
No referral required
You do not need a referral to see an exercise physiologist. Book straight in, and we will send a receipt you can claim against your extras cover if you have it.
Partner with us
We take referrals from support coordinators, case managers, plan managers, GPs and specialists across the Illawarra. Send a referral and we will make contact with your client within two business days.
Not sure which applies to you?
Call us and describe your situation. We will tell you honestly what you are likely to be eligible for, what it would cost and what the next step is, before you commit to anything.
Frequently asked questions
B2B Rehab is a mobile exercise physiology service, which means we visit you or your patient in the comfort of your own home or another location that suits you. Everything needed for the session travels with us.
Simply make a booking using the online booking system on this site and we will reach out to confirm the details. If you would rather come to us, our studio at 36A Wentworth St, Port Kembla NSW 2505 is open by appointment.
We travel across Wollongong, the Illawarra, Shellharbour and South Sydney. That includes Wollongong, Port Kembla, Figtree, Corrimal, Thirroul, Dapto, Shellharbour, Kiama and the southern Sydney suburbs.
If you are just outside those areas, get in touch anyway. We will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.
An accredited exercise physiologist is a university qualified allied health professional who uses clinical exercise to treat injury, chronic disease and disability. We are recognised by Medicare, the DVA, the NDIS, private health funds and workers compensation insurers.
Where a physiotherapist often focuses on hands on treatment in the early stage of an injury, exercise physiology focuses on the rebuilding phase: restoring strength, movement, capacity and confidence so the problem does not keep coming back. The two work well together, and we will refer you on when hands on treatment or imaging is the right next step.
No. You can book directly and pay privately with no referral at all.
A referral is only needed when a third party is paying. Medicare requires a Chronic Disease Management plan from your GP, the DVA requires a D904 referral, and workers compensation requires an approved claim number with a referral from your nominated treating doctor.
The first visit runs for about an hour. We talk through your history and your goals, then assess movement, strength, balance and function as appropriate. You will get an explanation of what we found and a written program to start on straight away.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and have any scans, reports or referrals handy.
Fees depend on how your care is funded. DVA clients pay nothing. NDIS participants are charged in line with the current price guide. Medicare care plans attract a rebate for each visit with a small gap, and private health extras cover can be claimed on the spot.
Call us on 0424 234 282 and we will give you an exact figure for your situation before you book.
